Assessment
During my teaching career, I have been very fortunate to be able to experiment with many forms of assessment. I have been able to use summative assessments such as quizzes, traditional tests, presentations, and multiple choice exams. I was also able to experiment with implementing my own verbal mathematics assessment (attached below). I have volunteered with Holt High School's oral mathematics finals for the last few years and have been extremely interested in implementing it into my own classroom. I created an assessment that had both a verbal and written portion for a pre-calculus class during my student teaching. I also use formative assessments in a wide range of forms, for example; warm-ups, exit-slips, and homework checks.
